Southern Tea Cakes From Linda



TEA CAKES                   
 
2 cups butter
2 tsp Crisco
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
5 1/2 cups plain flour
 
Cream butter & Crisco, add eggs & vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
Roll into small balls & press with fork.
Bake at 325 until lightly brown around the edges
about 8 to 10 minutes.  Enjoy
Optional:  you can add chopped pecans, raisins or coconut or combination of all
